Steps may vary slightly by device or iOS

iPhone (iOS 16+)

  1. Save the image to Camera Roll first (tap and hold the image → "Add to Photos" or "Save Image").
  2. Open Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper.
  3. Tap Photos, then choose the saved image.
  4. Adjust/crop as needed, tap Add.
  5. Choose Set as Wallpaper Pair (or set for Lock Screen / Home Screen individually).

Alternate route: From the Photos app, open the image → tap the Share icon → Use as Wallpaper → follow the same steps.

Android (steps vary slightly by brand — this is the general Pixel/Samsung flow)

  1. Save the image to the gallery (tap and hold → Download/Save image).
  2. Open the Photos or Gallery app and open the saved image.
  3. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) → Use as → Wallpaper.
  4. Crop/position it, then tap Set Wallpaper.
  5. Choose whether to apply it to the Home screen, Lock screen, or both.

Alternate route: Long-press an empty spot on the home screen → Wallpapers → My photos → select the image.
