Sarah Zane's passion for gemstones began in childhood, influenced by her great-grandmother, a gemstone hunter and lapidary. Carrying gemstones with her from an early age, she later discovered her fascination with the art of jewelry. After moving to New York City, she enrolled at the Gemological Institute of America, launching her career as a designer and goldsmith. A pivotal moment came when she was offered an internship at a production factory on 47th Street, where she fell in love with bench work and goldsmithing. Known for her bold use of colored gemstones—especially sapphires and emeralds—Sarah’s designs focus on clean finishes and durable craftsmanship, often using diamonds as highlights. Her collections draw inspiration from personal experiences, turning emotions into wearable art. Sarah’s greatest joy lies in the creative process and collaboration, and she looks forward to her next collection, continuing to transform meaningful stories into timeless pieces.
